Cat's Pyjamas Cattery

A cat above the rest

The Cat's Pyjamas luxury boarding cattery is set within the beautiful and tranquil hamlet of Great Buckland bordering the North Downs.  Our cattery is surrounded by trees and greenery and is the perfect quiet location for your beloved pet to have a stress-free quality time away from home.   All our guests have the benefit of individual attention and specialist care as we only board cats.

Our rural loction means your cat will not have to put up with traffic noise or barking dogs.  It will however have lots of things to see such as our kids or birds playing in our garden.

We are a family run business with over 20 years of experience. We pride ourselves on giving exactly the type of service we would like if we were customers boarding our cats.  We know that one size does not fit all.

We understand it is hard parting with a beloved pet even for just a few days and encourage new clients to come and meet us to discuss your cat's requirements. We hope this site will give you an idea of what we offer, in advance of meeting you.

Cat Care

During your cat’s stay, and for your reassurance, we are happy to text or e-mail you to let you know how your cat is.

Adult guests are typically fed wet and/or dry food twice a day whereas kittens, seniors, or special cases are fed according to their requirements. We ensure that all our guests that would like to be fussed have the necessary attention. We regularly brush and stroke our guests and pay extra attention to long-haired guests so they don’t develop knots and fur balls.

We provide meals from a selection of premium brand wet and dry foods. To ensure freshness we use pouches, not tins. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your cat's own food or favourite snacks. Guests on veterinary/prescription diets are also welcome to stay but we do request that owners provide their cat's special diet and feeding instructions.

Only fully vaccinated cats (immunized against feline infectious enteritis and respiratory infections (cat flu) can be accepted for boarding, and owners must produce a current vaccination certificate on arrival, which will be retained by us during your cat’s stay. Please ensure your cat’s regular flea and worming treatments are up to date.

Veterinary attendance is assured during your cat's stay should this prove necessary, and while they are in our care they are covered by our insurance for veterinary fees which covers any conditions which are not pre-existing.
We provide all bedding and feeding dishes. We use only high quality wood litter, which is changed every day.
